On any other day of the year you might not care much for green – the color of slime, frogs, mold, and broccoli. But come March 17, green is everyone’s favorite color. St Patrick’s Day is one of the biggest party days of the year and literally every one will be seeing green when the day arrives.

Where do I start?

Once you’ve down loaded the app, click on the “Plan” button at the bottom of the screen and let the planning begin! The first step is to name your party. Is it “Paul’s Poppin’ St. Patty’s Day Party”? Or maybe “Sandra’s Sexy St. Patrick’s Day Soiree”? If you want your party to be listed as “crashable,” meaning people you haven’t invited are allowed to “crash” the party, make sure you’re party name is something creative and appealing. Try and think of a name that will make your party stick out from all the others on the green holiday.

The next step is to pick a date and location. Since St. Patrick’s Day is on a Sunday this year, you might consider throwing your party the night before. That way everyone can stay out late and enjoy the green beer until the wee hours of the morning.

Public? Private? Who’s invited?

You might want to keep your party private, which means only invited guests can see the party details. If your party is public, anyone can see what you’ve got going on. So if you’re keeping things small, have a private party. If you’re a firm believer in “the more, the merrier,” than make this party public! Then decide on an age range- either all ages or 21 and over.

Time to get creative!

Now for the fun stuff – planning the actual party. Before you list the details of your party on Party Crashers, come up with some good ideas. It’s almost Valentine’s Day and love is in the air! Red and pink hearts are plastered all over the stores with lots of gift ideas for that special someone in your life. It’s such a happy time of year for people in loving, committed relationships!

But what about the rest of us? What about those of us who don’t have someone special but would love to meet someone special? That would be those of us who refer to Valentine’s Day as “S.A.D.” – Single’s Awareness Day.

It doesn’t have to be that way! If you throw the right party, get the right people there and have the right activities, Valentine’s Day can be even more spectacular for those without a Valentine! And if the party goes off just right, there might be some love connections made.

Spread the Word

The best way to spread the word about your party is to create an event on the Party Crashers Mobile App. Not sure if all your single friends have the app? Send a mass text out- let them know that they need the app to get important information on an upcoming social event they won’t want to miss!

Shep Moyle knows parties. And the Shindigz Inc. CEO knows a million-dollar idea when he has one. At least, his family hopes so. Shep, his wife, Wendy,and their three children have officially gone into business together to develop, launch and market mobile applications – or apps. The first, Party Crashers, is now available for free download at Apple’s App Store. An Android version is scheduled to launch in late November.

Make no mistake, the Moyles hope their $500,000 investment leads to a profit someday. But the business venture is also a personal adventure for the Fort Wayne family. Madison, Chase and Max are getting a crash course in creating and executing a business strategy.
